Wigan 28th : Tue Jul 20, 2021 9:00 pm
Since the Leigh game now confirmed off what a big game for Williams to make debut in, should be spicy and more so if a lot of Wigan fans attend,. Most likely it will be Sky game I will not be attending games anytime soon seeing how infection rates are going. But hope all those that go can feel safe.

A big game for a few reasons.

Two big teams, Williams return, hopefully a big crowd and as you say, it could be fiesty.

It's the type of night that could give Super League the kick in the backside it needs.

Not a great time for us to play anyone, especially Wigan. We don’t know who, but it could be half the first team that are ravaged by C-19.
They’ll be losing a stone of weight and lungs working around 2/3 capacity.

Given they are fit young athletes who have probably had at least one jab, I'd take a wild guess that all of them have symptoms much less severe than that.

And so you aim towards the sky,
And you'll rise high today,
Fly away, Far away,
Far from pain....

There will be some athletic people who are jabbed (once, and others twice) that will contract the Delta variant and their performance be impaired for a period of time. Not sure that this will apply to so many within our camp, as the initial poster implies, but I'm sure that there will be some professional sportsmen, and woman, who have their careers affected by Covid for a period of time.

That is, of course, true. Newcastle United players Allan Saint-Maximin & Jamaal Lascelles showed that last season in the football.

But the percentage of those people seems to be very low. I don't think I've read anywhere about any rugby league player having longer-term covid issues and plenty have had it.
