Well someone's wink is too close to the cup for them to pot it!

We all know our six fingered neighbours are weird, but it does seem like they've decided to despise little old Leigh just for having the cheek to knock them out the cup last year. The same way they despise the ref who didn't gift them the final in 2019. I'm not saying they hold onto their grudges, but blimey they're bitter for such a successful lot.

You're just showing your own bitterness with that post. It's not about them knocking us out of the cup, plenty of teams do that. I can't remember who knocked us out in 2022, or 2020 for example. Or 2019,18 etc. I was probably you? Or Wigan, or Catalans or Hull?

If you're okay with people tackling like Asiata is then that doesn't reflect well on you. Mata'utia has only avoided a season ending injury by jumping to avoid it. The tackle is aimed at knee level and he's just thrown his whole weight through his leg. He's Mata'utia spotting him coming and jumping away from another major controvery and another player facing a major rehab, if not the end of their career. Dead funny and something to laugh about because it's Saints.

Hang on :HAND: If he doesn't jump, he gets tackled around the waist. He jumps, and gets tackled on the thigh......Checkmate.

Your own fans loudly applauded/cheered/laughed when the player hobbled off injured on Friday. Take your double standards elsewhere.

No, he doesn't. You're just refusing to see it for what it is because it's a Leigh player. He's very low, Mata'utia deliberately doesn't put his foot down, because he knows what Asiata is doing and takes his other foot off the floor and is falling by the time he makes contact. If he planted his leg in his normal stride he'd have had his leg badly damaged, likely broken.

You're obsessing over the height of the challenge. Whether it's an inch above the knee or an inch below the knee isn't going to change a thing. His head might hit the thigh, but his shoulder is right into the knee joint and there's no attempt to wrap the arms. The RFL even state it's not a genuine attempt at a tackle and is likely to cause injury. If he hits that with the studs in contact with the ground (As they would have been if he'd put his foot down), the knee is being destroyed. This isn't just me, look at Twitter, there are tons of genuine neutrals who agree it's incredibly dangerous. Paul Cooke, the former Hull favourite, is one, he isn't bitter about Saints losing to Leigh in the cup, he probably loved that. He needs to change his technique before he does something catestrophic. He's incredibly lucky Mata'utia isn't seriously injured.

If this is true they are certainly the dregs. I have my suspicions they are anyway, but this would confirm it.

The usual form is to clap an injured player off the field not jeer. These are sportsman risking serious injury.

This sounds like Futurecrime to me. Lot's of projection in your statement. Surely the fact is the RFL Disciplinary have looked into what actually happened and there is no charge resulting. Anything after that could be considered to be just whinging one didn't get the outcome one wanted.

Anyway maybe it was payback for this cheap late head shot by Mata'utia. 2m 55s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNYnrc4kjfA

What goes around, comes around.

Well, they definitely did so. Putting my rfl hat on, there was some mitigation () because when he'd been sin binned earlier, he'd gestured to the crowd asking for 'more' as they jeered him off. So, I guess in their eyes he was fair game and asking for it when he was later injured, coupled with the fact he's public enemy no 1 in St Helens.
