What can fans do in their spare time now that the season is over? My suggestion and particularly for older fans is to consider writing a fictional novel based on what you know about your own family history.
Not only have I now written six such novels all set in South Lancashire in a series that starts in the winter of 1962/63, I have also written three pages of general advice aimed at encouraging others do something similar.
