It`s a very long time since we beat Wigan in ANY final.

I would guess that most posters on this forum have never seen us beat them in a final?

1980/81 Lancashire Cup Final was the last time that I recall us beating them, (When they were a second division team!!!)

Do any fans remember a later final victory over the Pies?

Didn't we knock them out twice at their place, 2012 (Waterhouse's two second half tries) and 2018 (Lineham's match winner) and at the HJ in 2016?

Ah, cheers. I don't really want to be reminded of that 80-0 game. Sort of started a spiral of mediocrity in the late 90s followed by us nearly going bankrupt.

sadly it did and I was there and I was there a little later when we only conceded 50 odd . It saw the end of Johnno which was a sad end to his time in charge

Ratticus post that on redvee could do with a giggle...on Sundays game we made em kick out from under the posts..now golden boy kicked the ball a good 2 to 3 yards over the try line is this legal as I thought it had to be on the line or behind it...
