The idea is you are trying to build up your whole club , a major part of that is your 1 st team playing squad , instead we have a ' lottery ' system , which is no more credible than automatic P and R , as for your comments earlier about academies , that also is total bollox , all it is doing is putting completely unneccessay pressure on club owners

At least at leigh we are bringing through the kids to the first team and they are winning on merit,I suppose we could all follow the widnes method win rail cup, off load all players suck up the rl and twiddle thumbs for 2 years.

Franchise is so flawed its beyond belief,Give the championship clubs equal funding as super league as from all I can see is they spend this funding pension boosting aussies.

Take warrington,blythe,evans holding there own in super league,boom oap aussie back go and play at leigh???????????.

Would our game really be so bad if foreign imports were banned completely????

What are you on about? Any 'Widnes kids' that played that Finsl are still here it's the others that will be replaced you know like Kohe-Love & Smith?

To add our under 18's beat Warrington at the weekend... How did yours get on?

That isn't fair to Widnes , they havent done that , I am sure they would have preffered to have built a team , kept it together and build on from there , a individual promotion system allows that to happen , it isn't their fault

As for equal funding , well that also isn't viable , just some funding and some well thought out spending on marketing would be good

Or you could take the Leigh method of doing absolutely nothing for the first two years, go for it final year, fail and hence not be able to apply at all?

We were trying just as hard the other two years , but like yourselves we weren't good enough , Barrow and Featherstone are the clubs that should have tasted SL in 2010 and 2011

Exactly the 'Widnes have sat back for 2 years' is rubbish. Facts are we reached another NRC final (ok lost it) and have also never missed the play off's too. People like SO'C don't put money in without wanting succcess on the field every season, full stop. As you say we just haven't been good enough!

Aye, guess we'll never know. But they cancelled reserves and are taking the ground down bit by bit which would suggest financial backing (inc numbers through gates etc) wasn't up to it.
