Didn't realise Leatherbarrow was now at wig*n! I used to hate him when I was younger He was the star player at StPats at my age group. Top 3 teams were St.Pats who had Leatherbarrow, Blackbrook who had Lee Gaskell and Orrell St James ( ) and we had Jonny Lomax. They were easily the best 3 players in the area at that age group. Obviously Lomax and Gaskell have gone on to 1st team with Saints but i didn't know what had happened to Leatherbarrow. He was a bloody good player when he was younger, pity he played for Pats

Didn't they have a little lad called Owen Farrell who seems to be making a name for himself on the dark side....

He was never as good as Leatherbarrow though. Not back then anyway. Ryan Owen was always good too at Pats. He's at warrington reserves now I think. Last I heard anyway.
Farrell was the year below, Stefan Marsh used to score tries for fun. not forgetting Latchford also who were competitive at that level with Kallum Watkins and Joe Mellor.
Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS

Aye, I played with him at Deanery. Class player when he was younger.

Did you play for St peters as well then?
Yeah, Orrell St. James was my club team and St Peters my school team. We played (beat ) Deanery plenty of times so must have played against you at some point or another.
