| Personally:
1. Create a community club, by partnering all local amateur clubs to create a pyramid to the pro club from 6 years up, have a 'Leigh' town team for each age group, who get access to the head coach and players on a weekly training basis, season ticket deals for their family, unique polo shirts, make them feel special and Leytherised.
2. Create a working board that has a rep from each amateur club, a junior schools rep and a snr schools rep, a fans rep, a council rep/lsv, all working together for a common goal.
3. Appoint a respected, energetic head coach on a FT contract, min 3 year deal - would love it to be K Purtill.
4. Ensure the community team had at least 3 high profile players employed
5. Partner local business, become visual in town and major retail areas.
6. Buy the Leigh arms, become a real Rugby pub with stakes held by all amateur clubs, with players going back here after games etc
7. Convert existing shares/loans to new shares, opening up shares to anyone with at least £25 to waste, thus generating cash to fund the ambition because that investment would not be swallowed up in old debts.
8. Give the Catering to Warren
9. Sell season tickets through sports clubs, giving that club a commission on its sales.
10. Create a family area, with a heavily discounted family ticket, ensure mascot is visible here, face paints, magician etc before games and at HT.
Lets keep the thread to those wishing to be positive by suggesting alternatives please.

| I had a lot of time for Kieron Purtill as a player. As a coach I believe he has had a good apprenticeship serving under/alongside the likes of Millward,John Sharp and now Mick Potter. Saints must of thought a lot about him to take him back after he caretaker coached Huddersfield after Sharps sacking last year.
Why would you love it to be KP?

| Your vision and dreams are difficult to disagree with, in fact I would not offer any alternatives to your suggestions except maybe a different catering franchise than Cheshire but dont have one in mind.
7. Convert existing shares/loans to new shares, opening up shares to anyone with at least £25 to waste, thus generating cash to fund the ambition because that investment would not be swallowed up in old debts.- This is a great suggestion but do people running the club not have to agree to this first. This is the problem.
You can have all the best ideas in the world but this point has to be addressed before anything else can happen.
The problem is (without being negative) is changing these dreams into reality.
I really dont know how this will happen unless we start from scratch which is implementing point 7.
I would love AT to have some say/be involved because of the money we are told he has been putting into the club to keep it alive but if his relationship with the Rowleys is as close as everyone suggests (and I do not know this) then we need a complete clean break from that.
As I have said, the ideas are great and a number of which have been discussed and debated over the last few years but there is no point in discussing this again (and again, and again) until the hidden investors make point 7 happen.

Local lad, so no travelling time. Passionate about the club and its fans. Great apprenticeship and knows how to bring the best out of players.

I too would love AT to be involved, I would also love for the club to be successful for him, how fantastic to reward him by leading the team out at OT or Wembley in his lifetime.
You are correct point 7 needs approval by the existing, but as the money is dead what have they to lose?
The first step would be creating the platform to implement because without buy in it goes no further.
It also doesnt need the mystery millionaires to work, remember many hands may results quicker.
As someone said on an earlier thread 250 Leigh fans spent around £100k in Toulouse, so 500 could generate £200k pa, 50 business could generate the same, that then becomes a big number without any major investor

I agree with most of what Mo has said , except
3.) I'd bring back Ingy & Bailey to coach the reservres because they got them playing rugby as we want to see
6.) Why the Leigh Arms if you want to support local junior teams ?
Why not make Leigh East the Leythers pre-match pub ?
It already IS a rugby club and next to the ground , and unlike the LSV they may ( if asked ) put pictures of Leigh legends along side pictures of East teams in their clubhouse , and theres junior rugby played there all day Sundays , so go along and spot the next up and coming talent .
Other than that Mo's ideas are achievable with a bit of work .

Someone pointed out that the 100 grand somehow was the cost of watching 80mins of rugby (re Leigh in Toulouse), when there was a lot lot more involved. Fans had a great time even tho we was pants etc etc.
You may as well put rather than Leigh fans have 2 week holiday in the sun every season, just think what that could get if fans donated to club instead.
We need someone like Trevor Barton. Maybe not him as such because I'm sure he wouldn't be interested but someone like him that could make things happen. Lets face it who thought LSV would happen at the beginning, and who thinks Leigh will be the best team and best run club in next few years knocking on SL's door ?
