| Perhaps a very important fixture for both teams' aspirations of SL.
How full the LSV is and how it looks on TV will not escape those in Red Hall...

Editor of League Weekly made a valid point, after the SKY game against Fev. He thought the stadium was fantatsic, but argued that it's not just the look of the facilities, but how it looks on the pitch too. I don't particularly like the guy, but had to agree with him this time.
Also, given the two teams' current 'style' (for want of a better word) of play - it could be a rather tedious slog for the viewer!

| Widnes' away support at our place can range from 300 to 3000.
With their current form it would be hoped they could still bring a decent following.
With some decent marketing and a good result on Monday we might even manage to get more than 2000 of our lot there too.
If not, we'll be lucky to get 3000 on.

| Well I can't make it. And with it being Thursday night and on TV it'll knock 1000-1500 off the gate.

| Maybe I am being too cynical on your behalf, but I really do think that it is more than just a coincidence that, all of a sudden fantastic new stadia are not everything. Surely you have noticed this shift since Leigh moved into a superb new stadium. Every week on Boots and All, we are reminded now that modern stadia are not all that they are cracked up to be. What a joke. For years, Leigh were belittled and sneered at in the rugby press and on TV, due to Hilton Park. Now that you have a brilliant new stadium, I am constantly hearing what great atmospheres can be created on iconic little grounds such as the Jungle. Completely out of order if you ask me and just about sums up League Weekly, Sky Sports , the RFL etc. The person you are referring to in League Weekly always has a huge dig at Leigh when they are on Sky for one reason or another. In fact, his match summaries often cheapen the sport, no matter who has played. I have now stopped buying the publication because of him. Why can Rugby League people in positions such as him, not show more dignity and class. Why does everything have to involve knocking stuff that they know is quality? If Salford, Celtic and Cas had such wonderful facilities, I for one feel that we would never hear the end of it. This pathetic and childish bias really saddens me.

| I too have noticed martin Sneerer (sorry Sadler's) digs at Leigh whenever he gets the chance, and your right now that some SL clubs are forced to stay where they are they do g on about 'homely' stadiums, the goal posts are moving as we 'speak'

| I haven't read or heard this stuff, but I take your word for it.
You can only laugh and imgaine some folks, somewhere feel a little threatened or jealous or just pig headed.
I feel that the West Yorkshire bias of Super League needs addressing.
I also don't think that Sky are interested in 'homely' stadiums filling up their air time.

Correct. sad truth is that we can have the best stadium in the World, but we also have to do something on the pitch, (as well as many other things) to qualify for an application.

| Widnes will not take a good following to Leigh, lucky to get 100 from us.
And im serious, our season has already ended.
