After the Featherstone (Away) game in the NR Cup qualifyer, a game in which James Child refereed, I said publicly that I would never waste good money watching a game with him in charge.
I was all set to take a car load to Whitehaven on Sunday, when news of the official came through. I will not be going, Child is in charge.
How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?

well i would watch us if adolf bloody hitler was in the middle, some people?
I support my team - home, away, neutral ground. Including Toulouse this season. I am not wasting my money to watch a clown like Child who is most likely to spoil my afternoon anyway.
Did no body else go to Featherstone for god's sake.
To be fair he's not been that bad since, although Fev fans probably wont agree - they were on the back of a 15-6 penalty count when they played at Widnes the other week.
From memory that night, their penalty count v us was 18-6.
being a young lad, and the rfl's big hope for the future, he's a strict " by the book" type of guy, and has not yet got the experience to let the game flow a bit.

I would back that up. I thought he ruined the game when we played Oldham and thought I'd never seen a worse ref, that seemed to backed up when he apparantly ruined his next game and the one after that. Was really worried when we got him for the Fev game but was really surprised. Seems to be really strict around lying on and infringements at the play the ball - clean that up and you might be ok.

Based on recent performances, the team'll do that for you - with or without the ref's help!!
