I've just watched Lam's post match (Sheffield) interview for the club website (being shown on YouTube) and he clearly says that Leigh are continuing to look to add to the existing squad, on top of this week's announcements. For me, this is brilliant news.
Love him or hate him DB is really putting his money where his mouth is. Its making this season in particular, great fun to watch and to follow. Also his (DB's) comments made in the Ferguson signing press release on his ongoing financial commitment to the club irrespective of results this year was more than heartening, it is huge relief. It was, for my money, the best of the news in what has been a very good week of news about the club.
Having been there at the Featherstone game in February on that truly miserable cold and wet night when the team was ambushed on that truly terrible, waterlogged, mud bath of a pitch with the Hippos on the other side giving us a lesson on how to play in such conditions and then having to read the crowing of the Feathertsone fans after that game, i cannot now wait for the return fixtures. Revenge, results wise, is going to taste very sweet indeed. Its game on and i fancy our chances more with every passing week.
