Check your email, Vanners, and as your last trip to LSV saw York ship a ton, it is hoped that your next attendance of a Leigh match will be a similarly joyous occasion for Leythers.
But now back on topic: "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" - Bongser's younger daughter (la plus jeunesse Mademoiselle de Bongseur (that's her name, don't wear it out)) WhatsApp-ed her old Pa from Germany (her latest gallivant) to ask; "Padre,"(for some reason she generally calls Bongser that, though for the last few days she has experimented with Vater - probably more apposite, phonetically at least!)
"Padre," she thumbed, "Are you going to Leigh Leopards on the 17th of Feb?"
Bongser has added capitalisation (
) and presumes that she is touting for Scouting for Girls. A good few moons ago (post divorce) Les Bongsettes were at The Towers. Leigh were playing away and their genitor (and janitor!) was listening to the match on t'interweb. Plus jeunesse got excited when the commentary mentioned Fui Fui Moimoi as she had met him when he'd visited her school. She still declined the offer of being taken to the next game!
The point of this ramble is that maybe THIS marketing has some legs to it. If Bongser is to stump up for her ticket though, she will be required to stay on for the main event.
Over & Out.
