Suppose, with his HKR contract already signed for next season, the exclusion of playing against them (TWO games to come) may have been overlooked.

Don't see how they can stop him playing for other clubs even against KR given his contract is not yet in effect. That said, don't think he can play in the final, due to CC eligibility rules which mean you have to be registered before the weekend of the semi final.
