Just how restricted was our choice of players, this afternoon?

I would love to know why Mort didn't play! Some say it's because he won't be there next season. Yet, if you apply that logic, I hope many of the rest won't be there next season, and therefore they shouldn't be selected either!

Stuart Donlan can hardly walk - he seems to be in agony. OK, he may have put up his hand, to play - but does that help the team cause? The lad should be resting. Same with Dave Armitstead - he's struggling to walk as well. The pair of them arrived at the baths, about five minutes after the rest of the team, limping terribly!

spoke to morty after the game and assured me he has not signed for any other team he just wasn't selected today

Disgusting. The only player to regularly follow the man with the ball and make good breaks, scores 5 tries in midweek reserve game, is one of our better prospects and is a full back. Donlans done nowt all season and according to some, isn't even fit.

Have the directors offered the players a bonus to make sure we are relegated. Wage bill would be cut by two thirds

macgraff in the centres tore batley a new bumhole till he got injured at second row.

should of put stanton on opposite wing cos thats the only way we can pass

not gettin into the half back situation cos we ave no options.

armistead well came with big hopes and am afraid aint good enough.

donlan dissapointing.

maden well would sooner of had stewart playin so that says how bad i think maden is.


i am annoyed/frustrated/saddened/embarrased and upset that this is now reality my beloved leigh are CRAP.
NOW I AM GIVIN UP,AND TO THINK I AM TRYING TO PERSUADE MY 4 YOUNG SONS TO BECOME LEIGH FANS. will ave to rethink if i will carry on this season or can we get a refund of games left??????

Seems bizarre, when we have two lads playing (one at full back, at that) who obviously weren't fit to play. (I'm not knocking Donlan or Armitstead - they had the guts to play) I know it wouldn't have made any difference to the final result, but to leave out one of your better players seems an odd selection.

Well I'm sorry but you and all the others on the other threads who are deciding to call it a day on our club are not fans. I know we were very bad today but it could all be different next week or the week after. I travel 30 miles each way to watch our team at home and todays result wont stop me doing it again. Infact the club will have to close before I stop going.

I think we've all said at some point "that's it, I'm not bothering any more", but as Leigh24.7 alluded on another thread, it comes to the week of the game and you convince it can't be any worse than last time and you still end up going.
