Salford didn't bring 2,500 ! Saint's completely filled that South Stand & took 2 & half blocks of the East when we had over 9,000 on & they brought about 2,000 - 2,100.
Still an excellent turn out from Salford fans though. I would guess they sold about 1800 tickets
I can only see Leigh ever averaging 6000-7000. It's become too expensive, especially for visiting fans. I've watched them for decades but beyond my pocket now. Concessions are excellent for kids but poor for seniors.

Totally agree about the price for pensioners far to expensive , lager at 5 quid a bottle , programmes at a fiver , I wouldn’t like to price a pie or a hotdog.

Bl00dy hell, Charlie!! You're talking £50 a game with a few drinks and a pie. I used to go to Leigh Miners or Leigh East prior to game for drinks and food. The pre-match entertainment is definitely bumping the cost of support up. Has Leigh suddenly become a land of millionaires? They're going to kill the support off with these prices. If they have a run of losses the fickle fans who only turn up when they're in SL will soon stop coming and then you're down to 5000. A few seasons ago, we got over 9000 for a game against Bratfort in the Championship so the opening attendance isn't really that good, although I know Bratfort fans do travel in numbers.

Pleasure is expensive, life is expensive so those with limited resources after essentials will choose what they spend it on. Those who missed/chose not to buy the initiative of 12 month fixed cost ticket will have more difficult choices some weeks. It is also quite funny to watch how when we reminisce we exaggerate facts - Bradford was about 7500 and I genuinely believe Friday was more than a thousand more than Batley

There is expensive, Maurice and then there is taking the p155. LSV charging £5 for a bottle of lager and whoever sets the £5 programme price and the £24 senior admission price is taking the p155. If people are daft enough to pay it that's up to them. I can't afford it nor can I afford the season ticket price so choose not to. Seniors should definitely get a cheaper concession.
I buy my season ticket and maybe a shirt and that is it. The little I did spend in the LSV has gone to zero since it went cashless.
Good attendance, we do need more of it to keep the income ticking over and I do like the opinions of the fair-weather fans I was suddenly surrounded by on Friday, their coaching ability nous and keen eyes will be need as we get further into the season.
Fortunately for you Deekos or maybe unfortunately for the club, the fairweather fans who you never see when they are in the Championship will soon fade away and Leigh will be left with a core support of about 4500 in SL or 3500 when in Championship. The pricing structure will deter any new fans. DB will eventually get fed up of the crowds staying stagnant and in the future I think, as a businessman, he will try to relocate them to a large city as a franchise to fit in with IMGs plans and where he will have more chance of large crowds and more profit. In the future, you may even see Leigh Leopards rebranded as London Leopards. As a businessman, I would definitely go for it. He will be assured of a SL place.

London would be a great place for a successful and vibrant crowd pulling rugby team - can’t imagine why nobody has though about it before
