Correct. sad truth is that we can have the best stadium in the World, but we also have to do something on the pitch, (as well as many other things) to qualify for an application.

You need to think back to the season you won your last Grand Final. At a similar stage in that season you had had a poor start and we won the league title comfortably.

Counted for nothing when those playoffs were over.

I am aware that you were talking about Danny Lockwood. It is his paper I have stopped buying. However, you are quite right, they all sing from the same hymn sheet. That is why I referred to Sky TV etc. Of course Leigh should have to perform on the pitch, but you cannot argue that a few years ago, when all this franchise talk came about, grounds were not a huge part of it, but now, amazingly they are not. What a coincidence!!! To me, performance should have always been key to promotion, but they changed this and put a large emphasis on stadia. Isn't it funny that since Leigh got theirs, this has changed. It is a very poor sport in that respect and really lets itself down. This is one of the reasons it will never spread effectively.

Indeed in 2006, April/May Widnes conceded over 50 points in each game, home and away to Leigh.
Who reached the Grand Final that year v HUll KR - WIDNES not us.

True enough but I was talking about the season when we lost at home to Oldham in the playoffs then Widnes in the semi.

I think Turk was as p.d off as the rest of us.
