It's been on the cards for a few weeks now - hence his re-appearance on Boots N All recently

Great buy for Wire. The guy has kept himself fit and the fact he couldn't get in Munster's team as much this season is nothing to be worried about - they're a top team, for a Union side He looked good in the Dubai 7s and Tony Smith is no mug. He'll be worth the money for his impact off the pitch and in the dressing room as well as on the field.

Will be interesting to see how he goes - especially if he has a stormer against The Pies in the semi-final and scores the winning try

however, its not right he plays in the semi, what thr rfl have said is not in the spirit of the comp

This is the guy who scored an 80 yard special in a Saints v Wigan derby game in his pomp and outpaced the guy who was supposed to be the quickest winger around at the time (his name escapes me) and he couldn't catch him.

Lets be honest when he was at Wigan Carney was a machine... his career was blighted by injuries and he was never the same. I'm surprised Warrington have signed him but they've got nothing to lose if it doesn't work out I guess.

I think i know who you mean, think it was darren albert. And if its the try im thinking of then t looked as if Carney would take off if he went any faster!

Didn't he tear Calderwood a new ar$ehole at Headingley in the play-offs a couple of times as well? Not to mention his try for GB against NZ at Huddersfield (I think).

He was OK then, nowt spesh but OK......... and now he's 33? I don't think so! I think Warrington should be aiming their sights higher than a washed up winger that's all.

You must have been watching a different player to me then! The fella was an inspiration for Wigan and certainly didn't do too badly for GB.

Speaking of age Peacock is putting his hands up for next world cup when he will be nearing his 36th birthday so who's to say when you should stop playing if you can still cut the mustard.
