That's the whole problem - the players only turn up when we're playing Widnes, and that's been the case for at least the past four seasons.

Sorry, but I can't be arsed reading through all the threads.Can somebody give a brief summary of the game.When Gateshead were down at Widnes the other week they played a basic but high tempo and well organized game with lot's of backing up and and pinpoint kicking to the in goal which trapped us on 4 or 5 occasions.Ws it similar today?

No - they just kept putting the ball down, in the 'in-goal'!

Gateshead are a decent size, big up front, did the basics right and were well drilled. Brannigan (sp) adds his name to another scrum half to take the pi55 out of out us this season.

spot on there, when they broke the line, they had several options, as there were 3 or 4 either side

imo 12 - 40 ft, could have been a lot more if they had taken all their chances

They also seemed to have this idea that I've not seen at Leigh. or at least not within living memory, of running at angles, and of hitting the ball at speed.

It'll never catch on.
