I go in the west stand with my kids, thought the NORTH STAND was awesome, but I have no idea why they still sing about the IRA.

There's loads of Kop ends, the one at Anfield is just one of the more famous examples.

declared as 6500 and a few, considering the 2000+ hordes from Salford didnt descend and it being live on tv that wasnt a bad gate for all pay, beat the full ST efforts of the 2 SL games today

Cheers, even though Salford did not bring as many as what they anticipated it was still a great crowd, especially for a cup game, wouldn't mind betting there was more there than at both of today's SL games

Quite correct. Burnden Park had one, even the pie eaters often referred to the kop at Central Park.

i dont mind what they call it as long as its more original than the kop end which to be fair is a tad more original than The North Stand.

I suggest "the owd shoe end" great to see TC enjoying the game yesterday.

Throw the oafs out who even whisper that song and lets have the spirit of rl.The way we play is a throw back compared to the robotic overcoached SL stuff

Don't think the support from Salford was that bad, when you consider their home attendances.

As for the North Stand being quiet, we had difficulty hearing each other speak in the West Stand, because of the racket from the North Standers. If you ask me, I think all that din should be banned - it's as anti-social as smoking in the stadium!
