Sean Long no coaching experience?
How about Salford, Samoa, St Helens, Hatlequins - albeit Rugby Unuon - now at Leeds Rhinos and has also been appointed as The French assistant coach for the World Cup , all since retiring from playing in 2011.
It does seem like you are struggling to come up with any likely candidates judging by the list you have put together, go on then I will put you on the spot what is your 1,2, 3, from your list?
The feeling seemed to be that we did not want a rookie coach.Has Long been a head coach anywhere?
Your original post is a bit confusing do we have to have an explayer or not?
Its probably another RL failure.Didnt David Waite set up a coach school to set up career paths for suitable candidates.Something else gone by the way.
DB said that he had someone lined up as director of rugby. Does the fact no one has yet been appointed mean they are still in a job, or has DB changed his mind.
We need someone to galvanise the club, stand up to any attempted interference from the board room with a staff support and organization to have a similar effect on the town, increase game participation and support..
That calls for some cv.My list was just some names I could think of who had been coaches but possibly are available are out of work or will be soon.
I am hoping DB has done his research as to what value or input any assistant coaches may be having if we cannot get an experienced man to come. Was Tim Sheens ever actually approached I am not suggesting him but someone of that standing with younger more innovative help..
To answer your question Hanley Kear Henderson.
