As close as I'd have hoped for.
Big minutes by Mulhern with Ipape and Asiata doing the full 80.
It wasn't a classic by any means, not that it wasn't entertaining, it was very much like to form teams feeling each other out for more of less the whole match.
I'm happy for Joe, he's tackle caused the knock-on which he scored the final try from with a great scamper like he was doing all of last season. I'm hoping he only went down with cramp and nothing more serious.
Wondering what the result of the O'Brien hit on Clifford will be, as clearly he was out of it and didn't return and from my viewpoint I couldn't see if it was just a good hit or late or high or whatever.
Thought Ava and Matty went well off the bench too, the latter especially has some aggression going forward and really is looking to off load too.
Hull looked good when we looked rough but luckily I felt we looked good and they looked rough more often. At times Hull did seem to be their own worst enemy, gifting up yards with back-to-back-to-back-to-back penalties at one point, good we capitalise on most occasions.
Thaler does like to let the game flow, which means he misses quite a lot of offsides, but I can deal with that. I think tonight was a case of home advantage really paying off.
A good long rest till York and well deserved as that was a tough game.
