Not sure it made any difference to the result but why did the referee tell Ben Cockayne to ground the ball for the final score before awarding the try, then refer it to the video ref for review. For me it's up to the player to make that call not the referee.

Just to make one thing clear before posting, I've never liked going to Leigh. We've done badly almost every time ive ever been and at Hilton Park the security was always extremely over zealous. However, having been at the game today, Leigh would be very deserving of a place in SL if they do qualify for one. The brand of rugby played in all areas of the park makes for a very entertaining spectacle. Today's game was an extremely even fought contest that I think was ultimately settled by Rovers extra professionalism. A lot to go off for Leigh though and you're in with every chance of making the cut for SL next year.
Get shot of Gaz Hock asap though, complete and utter waste of space.

Let's be honest this fixture was sorted out to give Leigh the best possible chance of winning it to give the middle 8s a shot in the arm from the off

And they should have won it

It's not paranoia, it was staged for the competition. Almost worked as well

Much the same as 3 played 4 in the super 8s first up while 5 had easy home game to close the gap

Manufactured fixtures to give the comp the shot in the arm it requires. Luckily for us we got out of jail in that second half
