Do the jokers need using in the next 3 games or do they continue into the playoffs.

It could indeed be argued that Bongser was not clear enough on this EVVO. When he wrote this year’s rules he, like most, thought that Leigh had less of a chance of making the play-offs than did a 99 cone of lasting in hell (very pleased to be wrong in that pred). He therefore dreamt up the Joker system to cater for the 27 Championship games.

Those attending the first game had a Joker to play at a time of their choosing (within said 27 matches). Those taking part every round would earn a further Joker after the 6th, 11th, 16th, 21st, and 26th rounds. The final round allows the playing of the last Joker. Must have been sober when thinking that out! Thought that it almost had a beautiful symmetry to it.

EVVO, you are presently in possession of three Jokers. They need to be played on the last three games or they will be forfeit. Should you punt in both the next two Rounds, you will receive a further Joker that must be played in Round 27 or in will simply evaporate!

SHORT ANSWER:

Play all your Jokers before the end of the regular season.

Whilst on, the Top Five Playoffs will, this season be run as a distinct comp here on WPL. New dabblers welcome but less admin for Bongser than there was in the death throes of last season.

Clean slate, no Jokers, no pokemons (too few ties).

This year’s Grand Champ will be crowned based merely on the 27 game season plus time capsules.
