I’m not a football fan , maybe watched around 8 matches live, but the Greatest goal I have ever seen was scored by Frank Worthington,he had his back to the opposition goal , a few kicks, one over his head and hits a volley into the net Classic, don’t know who it was against .
There was only one Frankie Worthington. But I must admit now I think more, Peter Reid was one hell of a player also.
Let’s keep this brief. Chayders missed the first game, ‘Tommers the first two. Both Chazzer & Wanderer successfully played a joker on an individual match for double points. Four Jokermons were played. Those from Zools, EVVO & Pubbers failed at the foot of the fixture list, but that played by in form Vanners came to fruition.
Amazingly, Vanners punt on the attendance was closest (triple Nelson out, Umpire Shepherd jigging in his tomb) for a further 25 points. Atomic Silver for 18 extras & Budgers gets an imaginary Bronze (still no badges – “not in this game”) for 15pts.
It will surprise no one that the weekend’s WWB went to VL for a total haul of:
285 Points. Bravo! Our new leader – it’s not just Wanderer “doing a pah”!

The one that always stuck in my mind was Ernie Hunt
