Bailey was SL standard, now he isn't.

This is were the system fails for me.Success of the system was shown with players like Chris Hill.Now for the pure reason of attempting to get to SL,we seem to be straying away from that system.

The main core of the squad will still only have a handful of SL experience and it's up to those guys to bring the younger guys on.Youth is still the way forward,we can't keep paying to get out/into trouble.

When was the last time we seen younger guys play in a league game?

Was told on Sunday at Widnes Lewis Foster is 22, is that classed as a youngster?

Chris Hill made his debut at 16 may be mistaken?

21/22 is the Ideal age in the modern day game to be placed in the main squad for me. The problem seems to be we attract the incoming SL players but don't show the same enthusiasm with the youth.

And at the end of the day thats the way forward,we can't keep buying has beens and replacing them 12 months later..The whole point is to create stability but you can't do that without youth.

how can young players develop when we don't have a real reserve league competition.All clubs can do is loan players out in the hope of keeping them match fit
