Wigan have a plethora *just wanted to use that word* of wingers, at least 6 first team choices (minus Davies if he goes to Les Cats) so I really could see Leigh lad Dom Manfredi coming home for a season at least, after all, Wigan did lose £1.5M last season & they will possibly be looking to recoup or at least cut losses

I doubt very much Leigh would be paying his full wage. So the loss "cap wise" to Wigan would be very marginal.

If it is correct that Leigh/Beaumont has been talking to Gigot then they can certainly afford Dom Manfredi, after all he has had 2 or 3 major lay offs to injury & is probably not on Wigan's starting 17.

Apologies for the time lag on this response - I've only just got round to finding, then reading the Op. Rules on Salary Cap. By my way of understanding, the club 'only' (

) has to bear the first £150k of a marquee player's salary. So, if say Gigot was being paid say £180k (12 x suggested £15k) the club would have to include £150k on their cap. But they would still have to stump up the £180k to pay the marquee player.



Not sure how good a deal that would be to the club, under the marquee ruling?

And just like that the Ben barba rumour comes back I’m taking it with a pinch of salt but people don’t realise how close we actually come to signing him last season till there was a stop put on it. If he agrees what was offering him last season then don’t see why not

Incredibly the Ben Barba to Leigh deal was signed and sealed and he was on his way for the play offs only to be undone at the eleventh hour by red tape.

The Tony Gigot 'rumours' are just not falling off, as one would have expected, either.

Its a strange one that rumour, I don't believe Leigh should be getting involved with someone of his reputation great player or not if true.



The hole idea of banning him was to show that the rugby league community will not tolerate his kind of behaviour and having him at Leigh would be a poor show from this club.

Appears the Adamsons have priced themselves out of a deal with Leigh.

Toby would be a yes for me, Luke despite his best efforts, I would say no to.



It appears they offer themselves as some sort of package and if so then thanks but no to both.

I believe Duffy and Radlinski are in negotiations for Craig Mullen down the road, season long loan.

I’ve been reading everyone’s comments on the names announced and keeping an eye to the possibles being mentioned also, with great interest. Being over here I don’t get to see and hear about other teams players on a regular basis, so to some degree rely on the opinions of most on here. I am personally so far quite satisfied with the players signed but also agree that a few key players/positions are still not addressed. If Riddy and McNally are retained (and more importantly fit) then I think we are a little closer, as I see both as top level champ players on their day still, but more are most certainly needed.

With all due respect to those announced I don’t think any will have broken the bank, so trust that DB will still intend to splash on a few more bigger names.

Interesting times ahead and we already have the basis of top 4 team.

Surprised if we thought we would get away with signing him. I would have thought the 'crime' he was guilty of would have been unacceptable to any club in any sport. Great player, but seems to be 'flawed'.



P.S. From what I've seen of Fev women, I would have thought they 'wore the trousers' in Fev family homes.
