Slightly off topic i know, but has anyone read the artical on our stadium in the League express, likes the satdium and thinks a few SL clubs will be drooling at the thought of playing at such a stadium. The guy ( Martyn Saddler i think) quite rightly thinks that the Club have let the Stadium owners have their own way to much re the fact we aren't training on the pitch we play our home games on . The bit that made me laugh was the description of the very modest crowd that didn't deserve the entertainment on show . I had a look at the attendance figures and if i'm not mistaken our home game was the best attended game in the national league and higher than the Celts SL game , yet the artical gives me the impression that it was only our game that was under attended . I know the issue of national league attendance figures is one that needs an awful lot of attention and consideration , but it isn't super dooper league so the only attention or consideration it will get if any is from the respective team owners
Sorry Ste but if you hire one of my cars and ask can you go racing in it I'd say NO, or hired one of my properties and asked if you could have a 'rave' (ahh those were the days
) in it I'd say no (and you have to have clearance just to walk through the front doors of the LSV, its worse than Fort Knox. What Im getting at is the owner/landlord is king, I don't necessarily agree with not being allowed on the pitch to train but theres sod all they can do unless they pay and the rates those robber barons charge just try renting one of the 3g pitches for a couple of hours
and ask Mr C how much it costs East's to train on what should be their own ground, at least Dick Turpin wore a mask.
