| Quote leighbornandbread="leighbornandbread"Fantastic Stadium Still feel like we are playing away every game but give it time and a few more fans and no doubt it will feel like home.'"
We felt like that too but over time it'll feel like 'home'. Thing is we still get harrassed by the footie contigent for 'squatting at their stadium'. Probably because they got relegated a few leagues last season and haven't managed promotion this time either. I'm looking forward to seeing your fine (finished!) stadium!

| Slightly off topic i know, but has anyone read the artical on our stadium in the League express, likes the satdium and thinks a few SL clubs will be drooling at the thought of playing at such a stadium. The guy ( Martyn Saddler i think) quite rightly thinks that the Club have let the Stadium owners have their own way to much re the fact we aren't training on the pitch we play our home games on . The bit that made me laugh was the description of the very modest crowd that didn't deserve the entertainment on show . I had a look at the attendance figures and if i'm not mistaken our home game was the best attended game in the national league and higher than the Celts SL game , yet the artical gives me the impression that it was only our game that was under attended . I know the issue of national league attendance figures is one that needs an awful lot of attention and consideration , but it isn't super dooper league so the only attention or consideration it will get if any is from the respective team owners

| the reason it dosnt feel the same is because it isnt lrlfc ground we only share it like everyone else does we are only allowed on the ground on match days so it will never be home or feel the same as it did at hilton park

| Nothing wrong with Salfords present ground. And IMO they deserve to be in SL. I fear they wont be in the next round of franchises and that will probably be the end of them. I also fear that thats when we may become permanently linked with them.

I know what you mean, but technically HP wasn't ours either - we were paying rent to Grundy Hill Estates. Also, we couldn't train on HP until the footie had finished.

| maybe just the history of hp that made it feel more like home plus cant be much fun for the players when they score a try in front of the south stand and look up and there is no one there cheering

| lets not forget that when the LSV was asked why there was no Leigh Centurion signs/memorabilia the answer was that the club hadnt asked
I know that the LSV are not doing the best job - but neither are the club imho
facility quality - but whoever designed it needs to be shot - legislation says you can not have a beer and be able to see the pitch - they didnt do it - the bloody scaffolding is there which looks pretty bad

| I still have the email from LSV stating that Leigh Centurions have not asked for the Hall of fame to be displayed!

Sorry Ste but if you hire one of my cars and ask can you go racing in it I'd say NO, or hired one of my properties and asked if you could have a 'rave' (ahh those were the days ) in it I'd say no (and you have to have clearance just to walk through the front doors of the LSV, its worse than Fort Knox. What Im getting at is the owner/landlord is king, I don't necessarily agree with not being allowed on the pitch to train but theres sod all they can do unless they pay and the rates those robber barons charge just try renting one of the 3g pitches for a couple of hours and ask Mr C how much it costs East's to train on what should be their own ground, at least Dick Turpin wore a mask.

| Guys, coming from a widnes fan you may or may not like this comment, but Hilton Park was a mess. One of the worst grouns I've ever been to.
Nostalgia is temporary. But what you've just moved in to is far better than that.

| Quote BigNige="BigNige"As someone involved in the construction of LSV I was wondering what is the supporters opinion of the stadium now you've had a few games there?.'"
I for one think that the new stadium is fantastic. Well planned and set out, good vision of the pitch wherever you sit (or are allowed to sit). It's a ground to be proud of playing at and calling HOME.
But I am concerned about the management of the place - seems to be a lack of common sense and of any assistance to give LCRL a 'leg up the ladder' so to speak - surely a free hour or two per week to train on the pitch is not asking too much considering the potential revenue we COULD bring.
Not too bothered what they charge for 'refreshments' like hundreds of others I will not buy anything I consider too expensive.
Pre and post visits to Leigh East club house for bargain booze, atmosphere and good grub means I can stand / sit (great to have the choice) and watch the game without the need to be tempted to waste my hard earned cash! As said before LSV need to look around on match days and compare / compete

That only applies to football games, and has been enforced for LGFC matches.
