What a joke. For years, Leigh were belittled and sneered at in the rugby press and on TV, due to Hilton Park. Now that you have a brilliant new stadium, I am constantly hearing what great atmospheres can be created on iconic little grounds such as the Jungle. Completely out of order if you ask me and just about sums up League Weekly, Sky Sports , the RFL etc. The person you are referring to in League Weekly always has a huge dig at Leigh when they are on Sky for one reason or another. In fact, his match summaries often cheapen the sport, no matter who has played. I have now stopped buying the publication because of him. Why can Rugby League people in positions such as him, not show more dignity and class. Why does everything have to involve knocking stuff that they know is quality? If Salford, Celtic and Cas had such wonderful facilities, I for one feel that we would never hear the end of it. This pathetic and childish bias really saddens me.'"

Performance is Key, if you don't get to the Grand Final or Rail Cup Final you can't apply for a license.
Stadium was never a key to promotion, How the business was run, how the club plays on the pitch and how they help youngsters are all bigger parts of getting a franchise.
As leigh does crap in all of these but has a shiny new stadium the fans think the rest dosn't matter.
The sooner leigh stops moaning about other clubs the sooner they will start to be a better club.

How did you know I was a scouser, must be the way I type la 
Isn't it only the next two seasons Grand Final and Rail Cup Finals that count towards the application process.
I like Leigh as a club but most of the fans seem to drag the club down with moaning, and if anyone points things out they get shot down.
Saints do have a good Team, good youth setup and once we get our new stadium our Dump or Money Pit that we play in won't be such a drain on the club.
As for you working for St Helens MBC, can you keep it down when you empty the bins in my street.  |

I have vowed not to attend anymore away games this year and im sticking to it, i know a number of other Widnes fans who will also be not be attending Leigh.
Only Home games from now on.

Well i hope Widnes bring a few. Leigh fans usually take a good following to most grounds generating a bit of cash for there clubs and in return we get a mini bus full of away supporters!!!

It's as general as me saying all Saints fans are all thieving scouse smackrats, which of course we know they are all not.
Have a proper mooch about and you will find more of us concerned about our own shortcomings rather than blaming others. |

I concur. Was at Spotland to see us get ar$ed!! (I thought score was 36-4, but might be wrong!!) By that stage of the season, league was pretty much 'in the bag'. Donny loss was earlier on in the season - ended our best ever consecutive winning start to a season (IIRC).......and didn't it force a trip to the barbers for 'Sid' and a couple of others??  |
