Yes he is. And if our club cant spot it we are in bigger trouble than most of us think. His positional sense is only a problem of recent times. I think he has been dying for a go at stand off and is tired of not getting it. If he goes to Fax. I think thats where they will put him. Watching Ian in the last few games his backing up is excellent. He nearly breaks every tackle. He has a gait like Price's. In mid field if he gets a yard a defence will struggle to put him down. I think we have over looked Ian at stand off and if he goes to Fax it will be at our cost.

I hope and don't think, at the same time, there is no truth in this rumour. Mort has a great passion to play for Leigh and the potential is there for him to become a great fullback for us - lets just hope these rumours aren't true.

I fully agree with this but if the club dont offer the contracts soon he will be off, just like a few of the other good players who are contracted till end of this season.. They still have to pay bills, so they will move on to the best available club. Don't get me wrong I dont want him (or a few other players whose names i wont mention) to leave, its down to ned and his new role to start getting them signed up before other clubs atart sniffing arround.
