It does seem that someone, somewhere, is putting the feelers out and assessing opinion, about this possible move, in a way that can be denied as just a rumour.

The recent statement from John Wilkinson seems like he's just stalling, just in case the RFL try to kick Salford out after this season for breach of promise. It's possible the RFL have warned him that this may happen. This tactic may or may not work.

If push comes to shove Salford may be able to hang on the their SL place if they relocate, for the remainder of their licence period, to the LSV.

Despite this, it will not save them imo, and nor should it. They really do need to get that stadium built. It all looks like complete BS to me though as there has been no details of how it will be funded now. If there were details of how it will now be funded, it would surely have been released as a priority, rather than saying absolutely nothing.
