With no reserves competition, we can't develop young talent so,easily so Derek has to go shopping. I find that dissapointing.

Tickle has let no one down in his 11 games playing for Cas this season, and i think you have yourself a good player.
He has been playing at prop for us and doing pretty well at it i might add so maybe that is where you have signed him to play?
He has been doing big minutes for us maybe that is what you need from your props come the 8s as last year your props were all blowing out their bum holes after 15 mins and that's what let you down in the end 'fitness'.
In Danny you have a very experienced head with a good engine who is used to playing SL on a weekly basis, he will go well for you i think you will be surprised.

No he isn't. Reni can't kick goals from all over the park or for field position. Danny can and does a good job doing it. Reni is one of my favourite players but I honestly think that Danny is a good maybe better replacement.

First up a welcome to Danny who will be a great addition to our squad.

Have to agree with Paul and this is where the game needs leadership, A proper set up should be in place for RL to develop youth at all levels but also meet what the clubs need week to week, If that's an old style 'A' team like the old days with a mixture of injured / squad players and raw young talent or something else but something has to be put in place by the RFL that works.

Derek alluded when scrapping the reserve structure at our club for a season that a review would be made and something put in place for the following season so we don't just become a 'buying' club, we need to develop our own, hopefully a year down the line our club and the RFL have got something that fits the clubs and the youth of our games requirements.

The game in general, not just our club is in desperate need of a properly organised/funded reserve grade, be that open age or age restricted. The game can't keep relying on inports, its vital to the future that we, in we i mean the game sorts this out sooner rather than later. Ps i reckon tickle will go ok for us.

I think DB has been proved right in not running a reserves this season by the shambles of the reserve league.

Tickle has been playing prop at Cas. He is described as 'having a good engine' - which is exactly how Jake Emmitt was described. We never replaced Jake, and have been a bit light at prop since he left us.
