Another win. Hope Crooks’s noggin proves okay.

Down to business:

It’s Kevin Keegan 1990s rant week as Cokey, Pubbers & Wanderer all posted “I’d bl00dy (‘ave) Lovett.” They were all proved correct and are entitled to flourish this week’s BANZAI boners like samurai swords. Twenty points to each.

HOWEVER the WWB wasn’t to be settled so easily. Same nine posters this week (VL – you are doing yourself no favours by posting late every week – there is indeed a time difference ‘twixt the UK & Canada, but to Bongser’s knowledge it is a matter of hours rather than days. Yed up (in this case), CCup Spesh next week. Whilst the first game is on Saturday (no Champ clubs but Bongser hasn’t posted the puntables yet - it’s time to tune in earlier!!)

Most (PROMPT) posters got five winners from six, but two of the brethren correctly predicted that Toulouse wouldn’t like chasing uphill and down. Well done Batley and well done to the first (alphabetically & chronologically) of those posters, Atomic – already well ahead and now stretching his lead with a Pokemon.

Now to the other Pokemon collector:

Whilst Bongser has never subscribed to knee-jerk reaction changes of coaches, he has to admit that KP is certainly making a difference. This in no way is meant as a criticism of NJ who steered Leigh to SL and to three wins from the first six at which point the below was posted:

Don’t hear too much from Peter nowadays. Heard TOO much previously though.

The other weekly winner is Charlie!!

Change of coach certainly worked for you, Chas (did you liaise with Lynda on that? – did you have to change at Digbeth?) Regardless, well done. Both you and Atomic shall also have a WWB of a further 25 points.

So to the standings. Getting tired of raising his bat (and bearing down on Graham Gooch’s triple Nelson) it’s

1. Atomic on 324

Chuck & Wanderer join the double centurions (bats fo' ya stats) as we continue down:

2. Caroli on 245
3. Pubbers on 239
4. Wanderer & Bongser on 224
6. Zulu on 184
7. Cokey on 166
8. WLJ & VL on 132

On to this week’s truants:

10. Master Diggle on 110
11. LeytherX111 on 94
12. SaBadSel on 16

When you take the sovereign’s shilling (see what Bongser did there?), SBS, you’re in for the duration.

Puntables out as soon as Bongser has dreamed/dreamt (?) up a Bonkers Bonus Question. :thumb:

How about BBQ to be the total number that will add up to the 4 players shirt numbers on the bench?

Okey-Dokey, Cokey. :thumb: Bongser'll run with that tomorrow afty and attempt to avoid any references to the Hokey Cokey, :thumb:s and the Kama Sutra forum on which he is a diamond member.

Btw, thought of you when tuning into PW71's League One Pred League on the Bulls board as he began with:

Whilst speaking of PW71 and of bonus questions, the below one was set on The Bulls’ forum last week (Bongser presently 13th from a field of 33 – they’ve seemingly more ‘bulls’ on that forum when it comes to preds):

paulwalker71 wrote:
Bonus (in honour of the start of the Women's SL) What will be the total number of points scored in BOTH the Bulls men AND Bulls women's games on Sunday? 5 points if you are within 10 points of the total

As Bongser has precedent inasmuch as the England ladies team is dubbed The Lionesses, he hopes there will be no knee-jerk reaction to what follows as being in any way sexist.

Thine host can well understand that it would be deemed inappropriate for Bradford to name their women’s team “Bradford Cows” as that is a despicable pejorative. However, he wondered whether there might be a few “feminisations” that would raise a smirk. As we have a few of us (in every sense) on this thread: UP THE COMICS (and comediennes)!

Bongser will start with these and hope that others might chip in a couple of other witty ones.

York City Knights -> York City Knight-Mares
Hemel Stags -> Hemel Hens
Coventry Bears –> Coventry “Bear” Ladies (think Godiva)
Saint Helens -> Saints Helen
Parramatta Eels -> Parramatta She-Eel-Aghs (Lovett)
Manly Warringah Sea Eagles -> WoManly Warringah She Eagles
(One from the past) Halifax Blue Sox -> Halifax Blue Stockinkz

Carrying on from that:

Rochdale Hornets -> Rochdale Fishnets (dodged a bullet there, see Brahms comment below!)

A composer chappy :BOOHOO: called Johannes Brahms once said (auf Deutsch) “The most important notes are the ones that you let fall under the table.” Bongser has let a few ideas fall under the table, mainly to keep him out of trouble as Johannes and he have been joined this evening by their mutual friend Franz Liszt.

Have fun, hopefully, but stay within the modest bounds of yada yada yada....

As Bongser has been speaking in German all night with John und Frank (not Frank1 btw), here’s another:

Newcastle Thunder -> Newcastle Donnas (stet) - c’mon Charlie, you’ve a red nose – which reindeer was closest behind your cousin Rudolph?

For any lady viewers, this is a two way street and Bongser will start you off.
As (in Association Football) Doncaster Belles have seen far more success than the Rovers, perhaps:

Doncaster Belles -> Doncaster Bellenz (NOT aimed at Wanderer!) :thumb:

REMEMBER the yada yada yada bit.
