I don't live in Leigh anymore, so don't get the Journal. The caveat was regarding ST for the Championship it says so quite clearly, (have you missed that?) The prices for the season tickets changed from the publushed costs because the circumstances were not the same - from 3rd November issue - they were increased for SL, hence there should have been a new "condition of sale issued", if any part of a document is no longer applicable then amendments/continuation should be issued pertaining to all the document. "Fairly Sure" doesn't mean very much, does it?
I`m "Fairly sure" that you have access to the internet,so could peruse the Leigh Journal online or even better go onto the Leigh Centurions Official site and checked on any stipulations given by the Club regards purchasing a ST and regards a potential refund,if crowds were`nt allowed back in.I purchased mine for the North Stand knowing full well that I might not be able to attend any games due to Covid restrictions.Let us know how you get on with a refund Harry?
As I said Cokey I couldn't ask the question if that statement still applied simply because I was unaware that it had ever been made in the first place, if when I ordered the ST by phone the person I spoke to said "are you aware that if spectator's are not allowed in there will be no refunds" then I would not have purchased it.
To be fair Harry, as you know the club were aspiring for SL, then given the golden ticket. More money will now have to be spent in order to sustain our place in SL for 2022 and (hopefully) onward. Surely it would be right that the fans play their part too. It's not the clubs fault that we are in these unprecedented times. I must admit i'm somewhat disappointed with your decision. ST holders will have 1st dibs on entrance when permitted due to Covid restrictions, until then games will be streamed FOC for ST holders. COYL

OK guys, I am well understanding of the points you make and especially the requirement for more money to sustain a challenge to remain in SL, I have no intention of contacting the club for a refund my first visit to Hilton Park was in '59 in no way could I forsake them now.
BUT I must say that the statement made by Mr Beaumont in relation to season ticket funds being utilised for salaries I assuned it was for the player's and not additional coaches and backroom staff, it doesn't take a genius to observe the clubs who are most likely going to be our challengers are doing in the signing of new blood to improve their teams, for example the second worst performing SL club HKR have jettisoned 4 player's they deem not good enough for SL we have them, Toronto the bottom team when the pandemic struck we have 3 of their player's I could go on, the club did everything it could to secure the 12th spot in SL but with the lack of improving a squad brought together to compete for the Championship I wonder if the challenge ahead is being taken seriously, that is what I am disgruntled about.
Yesterday, I heard (from a club official) there was an Australian player who arrived 3 weeks ago and has been in isolation now he can begin training with the squad, why all the secrecy from the club if it is true? Someone on these pages suggested we are taking our time to secure the best we can get, I would suggest if we have brought in an unnamed player from overseas he will not be a high profile player we so desperately require, he will also be taking up a quota spot, that will confirm to me along with no other names even being mentioned we are not taking this season seriously.
Is Mr Beaumont gambling on no P&R again this year, I wonder!

Hi Harry, I appreciate and welcome your view, and your opinions. However, I just think your glass is half empty, and mine is half full. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the season whatever it brings.

Harry, the backroom staff are as important as the players IMHO /You then state that a club official told you about an Oz player arriving but no official announcement, you don`t need to be informed because you were already aware of that news!

So why not shout it from the rafters so ALL the fans will be aware, I am sure there are many who would be interested who the club has signed!

Harry, sit down and have a little thought regarding the devastating news that rippled through the town of Leigh only 3 weeks ago regarding the passing of AP. I'm sure the club will make announcements when the time is right.

Cokey don`t forget that Harry doesn`t get a Journal so might not be aware of the sad passing of AP.

I think we all agree H. Mr Beaumont has spent many a penny on players who only wanted the wedge. Let’s see what happens and how this squad deals with it. No point having a Chris Hill in this squad if he doesn’t fit. That goes for all.
