I’d be surprised if the majority are not already done and dusted - with the announcements to coincide with the ST launch, which surely has to be imminent, very late in the day this as a lot of people probably go for a 2 month direct debit option

The Winter Fuel Allowance is due for those of us over a certain ag. Most people spread the cost of fuel over equal direct debits and are not likely to need extra bags of firewood so I suggest they treat it as a Government Season Ticket allowance with a bit left over to help buy the children a club shirt. (Any complaints remind them Santa plays in same colours)
