Well, well, well!
Bongser has had a few and he intends to have a considerable few more before retiring tonight. Why? Because this weekend has been one of none to few phews!
The Trotters were dead, buried & relegated as they were trailing on 86 minutes but then came the Dei ex machina in the 87th & 88th minutes (Deus bless their lil white polyester socks). Jeune Bro’ Bongser immediately texted “Worra ding-dong do!” to which Bongser replied “Futba, blo0dy hell!” – a quotation from the topical Sir Alex Ferguson (get well soon – from a Bolton fan!) following a similar late turnaround in the 1999 European Cup Final. Ol’ Pa Bongser has indeed been dead and buried these last three years and more but Bongser still texted “PHEW!” to his last mobile number.
Bongser has already quoted the words of Rupert Brookes :

To Rugby! London AWAY turned out to be a quite different cuttle of kettlefeesh. The Broncos just kept coming back – Elvira to our Giovanni! Although it scuppered any chance of Bongser picking up bonus points, he was very relieved when Mata’utia went over late on. Some things are more important than predland. PHEW!
To the scores! Apologies to the impatient Cokey, Bongser has been reLeighved and confewsed (stet) for the last couple of evenings.
The Nine in attendance again. All tripped up with not seeing a ‘Dale win (they have a rearranged match this week to build on it but the original posts will count). No Pokemon.
Pubbers got only three correct winners this week but rescued him/herself with a correct margin (2) in the Barrow vs Batley match in which feat he was joined by the Doncastrian. Furthermore Pubbers got that score bang-on for mucho points.
Most posters got 5/6.
The BBQ? Disaster! There were more wrong “nuns” than in “The Devils of Loudun”. Speak of the devil, he was hiding in the detail and didn’t appear for some. No matter as nobody got a single point.
New Leigh scorers (three): Evans, Higham & Mata’utia.
Repeats from London (two): Sammut & Gee.
