agreed, our crowds are crap. We have a new ground yes, but are worst team for about 15 years. Fax are top of the table, playing great rugby, and your average will be 'boosted by 2 Widnes home games'.
Fax's last 3 home crowds: 2, 022 + 2,002 + 2,184 Leigh's last 3 home crowds 2,307, 2.177 + 1,727
point taken, but both should be getting bigger crowds, albeit for different reasons. Widnes's crowds puts us all to shame.
If you look at the average crowds in the Premiership then compare them to the ones in the Championship,I think the Crowds above when compared with SL will be similar ratios.
Based on todays prices and the competition for everyones money I don't think crowds of 2000 plus are crap, not brilliant but definately not crap.
Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

Either way they are not good enough , especially when you dont have your own stadium to earn other revenue for you

But its as good as you'll get for a competition that is not really taking off in the imagination of many as "worth winning in its own right".
I'm seriously struggling to give a monkeys about many of this seasons games so god knows how the casual fan will get attracted.
Bizarrely cannot wait to see if AFC Fylde football club will get promoted out of (circa) Division 9 this season and will be one of many on the ground for the (hopefully) promotion decider game v New Mills, I'd also guarentee I and many otherswouldn't be there if the club had no chance of progression.
I suspect thats the problem championship clubs will have to try and battle to survive.
So basically the MP's went ahead with this with total disregard and lack of communication with the Halifax Chaiman, directors and all those involved with the running of the club ?
Yes. Same policy as they have with their constituents.
Why Fax? Why not Widnes (who have been royally screwed all round??) And, of course, why not us?
Just for once, Andy Burnham's position won't help Leigh... as the Secretary of State, it would be improper for him to write a motion appealing against the ruling of a sport's NGB. But, given those circumstances, if we find the names of the MPs on the motion, we should write to them asking to add Leyth onto the list, and copy the letter to andy acknowledging his unfortunate conflict of interest in the matter.
Even though its what all of us were thinking at the time? you or the majority didn't know what went on behind the scenes on the lead up to that farce of a SL application fiasco, i'm only sorry the club can't/won't reveal the whole sorry tale and show up te RFL for what it really is?
theres a time for politics and a time for saying how it is, all this political correct bollox is just bullsh1t, even the widnes chairman said the same thing on boots n all as Rowley did, but was he crucufied by their teams fans? was he blood hell, if Rowley had crawled would we now be in SL? I think not so did it do any harm? only in the petty minds of some on here.
It's rugby not politics leave that to the politicians, me I prefer straight talking, not going all round the houses to call a spade a spade.

Half our problem is that we're in spitting distance of Leeds/ Bradford and Huddersfield which is where most of the support went when we got relegated.
