How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?
my dad started to take me wastching leigh when i was 7, i am now 38 in july. i go home and away, and class myself as a loyal fan, i have a moan and hate it when we play bad, and love it when we win and play well. I will always be a leigh fan and will continue to be loyal to my club till they hammer the final nail into my coffin, watching and supporting your team is about the emotinal roller coaster that rl and sport is all about, i can see why people are upset, but come on we have been in worse positions than this, and come back fighting, what we need is for the loyal fans to stay loyal and continue to support our club, even if we think it can be run better, and who doesn't,m but to walk away is not a option, not for me anyway, loyal leigh fan til i die.

no bart i am not. but i am wolrab and i shall be at haven in a few weeks and halifax shortly afterwards, i may even boo my team if they deserve it, and clap them also when they deserve it, but the important point is i will be at the games, and come that day when we win something and it wasn't to long ago when we did win a trophy or 2, we can all say well we've been with our club through thick and thin, very thin but we're fans and supporters and we won't walk away, we just can't, my point made i think. keep the faith no matter how hard it is.
thats it kevster just got better things to spend my money on and i have watched leigh for 40 yrs and it is hard for me to say this but now i would rather pay 2 pound and watch the miners just sick of being let down over the years with false hope that things will get better never happens
C,mon lad stick with it a bit longer cos when you get to sixty it,s only a quid at the Miners.

As I point out every now and again, I have lived in Toronto for the last 7 years so I have no choice whether to attend games or not. However, I will be over for two weeks at the end of July.
By complete coincidence I will be in the Lake District when we are playing Barrow away. I WAS looking forward to popping along, until our results got even worse than they had been, and I have been having serious second thoughts about whether it is worth the effort.
But having thought about it, Leigh is still MY team and I WILL be there, win, lose or draw, rain, hail or shine. Maybe we can perform creditably, maybe we will get a bonus point, heck maybe we will snatch a famous victory! It would be great to have a lot of fellow leythers there to cheer the lads on and boo them enthusiastically if things go pear shaped!
Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!
