No room for sentiment in professional sport,Riddy has been a very good servant to the Club , but for me players like Tonga should have been released a while back , maybe now we know Weston is leaving ,he could be released early to make room for 2 imports, I don't think Vea or Green will stay much longer at the Club, and nobody will ever convince me McNally is a SL player, watch his reactions in defence for Gildart try, and Burgess last try against Wigan,a Point Duty Officer springs to mind.
For me , I would have Riddy back in a heartbeat, but if Jukesy says no,then it's his decision we stand by,if we sign Mortimer and Langi it will be very interesting to see how they fit in .
Nobody?
People on here have said many times Ridyard wasn't Super League class! We have seen Brierley and Ellis both get signed up by SL clubs when infact, it was by playing along side Riddy that they came to the fore and, I said at the time, the SL teams had signed the wrong players if they wanted a play maker
Josh Drinkwater has not been as prominent without Riddy although, he is now becoming more influential
Gregg McNally is class, the way he runs and the way he gets his passes away he is also safe at catching the ball ! He was fullback when we beat Hull and Wigan recently, both, the Major trophy winners last season in SL! The speed he receives and releases his passes to our Wingers is exceptional! Gregg is getting stronger with every game and becoming more confident too! don't forget he has suffered two really serious injuries in the last two seasons and I for one am glad to see him back. He may not be as strong in the tackle or returning the ball as Mitch Brown however, his overall game is better than Mitch's. If I was a Coach at Leigh, Gregg would have had a run Stand Off before now with the class he possesses
