Assessment of James Bell, or as Lammy likes to call him Bell(y) (in that great Rugby League tradition of adding a Y to a name). Bell is too good for Leigh and not good enough for Saints. St Helens have a non-event Cup match against Whitehaven and want to give him a run out. He unavailable for fitness/injury reasons and so will probably continue at Leigh in order to get some game time. The best hope is that he spends most of the season at Leigh and we re-sign him at the end of the season. There are are very few genuine 13's in the game, and personally I think the game is poorer for it.
I disagree with your opinion that Bell is to good for Leigh , for me Leigh are worthy of any great player , in the past John Woods , and Alex Murphy ,and had in Harry Pinner one of the best 13s ever to grace the game . James Bell is a very modest guy , I have spoken to him a couple of times , in Pennington Hall Park , he is glad to be playing at Leigh ,and I feel an offer us so much , I’d love to see Dan Norman sign for us as well, hopefully James will be fit enough to feature on Friday night for us .

I am not trying to be disrespectful to Leigh's great traditions, but we have to be honest about our place in the food chain. Leigh are currently somewhere between 10th and 15th best Rugby clubs in the Country (including 2 French Teams). St Helens are the number one team, that incorporates a shed load of players of various abilities.
If a young John Woods was at Leigh now, I can guarantee he would be playing for Wigan, Saints, or Warrington next season.
Leigh have seen some great players, but they always appear at the twilight of their career - Tommy Martyn, Sir Harry Pinner, Micky Highham and Fuifui Moimoi. The days of paying big money for Mike Ford, David Stephenson et al have gone. Leigh depend on young career aspiring players or bad boy Aussies, with drug, drink, gambling or sexual peccadilloes and a desire to get away from the glare of the Aussie media.
Not sure what your point is? Mine was the fact that despite a good draw in the cup this forum has become so toxic that very few people post. Not aware of a rule that you can only have an opinion based on the volume of posts., (full stop comma to keep things uniformed)
