You can get a bus to the top of Schofield Street, just as you could to the top of Chadwick Street.
Granted, it is slightly further to walk that the Chadwick Street route, but if you can manage that 3 or 400 yards then I'm sure another few hundred wont make much difference.
To be honest, if folk want to pi55 and moan about another few hundred yards then maybe they're not as bothered about watching Leigh as they would have you believe.
If like me you have problems with walking . the extra few hundred yards does make a difference
But I think people are just making excuses for not attending matches ,
The cost for putting a bus on from the bus station to the ground would have to go out to tender to the GMPTE and be a viable cost effective route for the bidder
Now as an ex bus driver and taxi driver the cost on a bus or taxi fare will be not to different at about £ 2.50 to right in front of the ground
Avacab is just across the road and give a 10% discount to Leigh Lifeline members with a valid member card , and the clubs sponsers JR's are just a phone call and minutes away
So no more excuses for not going
