I applauded a couple of well-worked Gateshead tries, and they're a very handy side. But that Leigh side has turned up today for the money - I've always been a big fan of Ste Maden's but he was an utter disgrace to the shirt this afternoon; twice sin-binned for gobbing off at the officials and directly responsible for tries conceded. And, yes, I do think the booing is completely justified. I paid £50 extra to fly home from Paris this morning rather than later in the afternoon so that I could go to the game (driving straight from Liverpool Airport to the LSV), and that is how fans get rewarded for their dedication.

There are obviously honourable exceptions (sum total of Hill, Watson and possibly Taylor from this afternoon's side), but as a collective they really weren't fit to wear the shirt.

Dont get me wrong i am as annoyed ,angry ,let down, and unhappy with todays play or lack of it !plus Maden does that quite alot ,i would'nt play him but who do you play instead?I dont think you can say that each and everyone of them just turned up for the money as i saw Hilly come over to his family and he looked gutted plus someone was shouting expletives to the players as they where leaving the pitch should'nt get personal.

Well said I made a similar point to Paul Rowley at the last Lisa meeting.

I don't boo, I don't think it achieves anything, but in the same breath I hold nothing against anyone who does. As a paying patron, they have the right to do whatever they like within the ground, as long as it is within the rules, and the law.

What I will say though is todays performance was poor, and whilst I will still be at every home game the rest of the year there are few out there as hardy as I and most of you on here, which is why i suspect that crowds will take a dip after today.

A simple statistic puts things into perspective. Regardless of comepetition points, only Doncaster have scored less points than us in this division.

Stanton wasn't without his errors in defence - what summed up the afternoon was when the Gateshead winger got the ball half an inch from the East Stand touchline, was always likely to step inside rather than end up on Leigh Harriers and 3 (three!) Leigh players were all done in the same movement by a side-step that was always going to arrive because of the position on the field. He gives it to a supporting player (there's that tactic again!) and it's try time.

How basic is it when a 3 v1 situation in the defence's favour to not all rush in and just keep a simple line and force the man in to touch or at least bloody tackle him?!

Why has no one had anything to say about Ridyard? There is no way I would have him in the team. Such a pivotal position needs a much better player than him. I'm sorry but I can't remeber him having anything close to a decent performance. I'm sorry for just picking Martin there were lots of problems out there today but the biggest one for me was us being clueless in attack. Absolutely clueless. Having said that our defense wasn't much better. It's not rocket science this but every team that plays us now knows that all they have to do is suck the forwards into the middle then throw it out to a fast running second rower and we are knackerd. Its under 16's tactics and we can't see it coming. I only hope those players that are not performing are out of contract at the end of the season and we stay in this league.
Can you not sack them for not performing. There is video evidence.

I can't believe how much pressure is actually stacked on young Riddy. Today was the first game he has been selected immediately following a loss. Talk about a scapegoat,he's hardly going into games with the confidence of Darren Lockyer.......As it happens I don't think he was anything near our worse performer
