Don't think I said that anywhere. This problem has existed every season since the current directors took over. I am as fed up with that situation as you.

As for announcing signings that don't arrive for months you don't have to look any further than alot of SL clubs with Greg Bird as a prime example and wasn't Croker another. So we are far from alone on that one. Indeed Barrow announced three and they never arrived

Sorry that wasn't directed at you in particular just any Leigh fan who happened to be reading it!

I can't understand why clubs announce these signings until visa clearence is given? Surely if they've signed a contract it could wait till visas have been granted?

Regarding todays issue if Andrew has made a genuine mistake then fine, we all make mistake and he shouldn't be chastised for it! I know the hard work and effort he puts in so apologies if my previous posts sounded like I was havin a go at him, that wasn't my intention!

Which the club responded to again, and there has been nothing mentioned since. The latest news is still that he is awaiting visa clearance, which was part of the original announcement. We have no idea on what led to the Williams story in the oz press, but you just assume the club are in the wrong, not the player and not the local rag involved.

There is a certain irony to you saying "we all make mistake and he shouldn't be chastised for it".

Lets hope it was only final paperwork that is being sorted and not the fact that Mark hasn't signed. He's what we need I think another forward who can cause damage at the line and he seemed to be a good player when I saw him on Sky and against Leigh.

Again if your happy with our current transfer policy then fine. I'm not particularly! We seem to be making the same mistakes over and over and over which is why I don't think my last comment is ironic actually! Mistakes are fine as long as you learn from them!

As for the Williams situation who ended up looking stupid? Joe Williams, the local rag or Leigh Centurions?

Anyone who has ever met Andy, or taken the trouble to speak to him will know that he is 100% genuine Leyther.

If he's made a cock up then fair enough he'll be the first to admit it but whatever he has done will have been with the best of intentions and for the effort he puts into the club every day he doesn't deserve to be publically hung out to dry.

either he was told to put it on or he wasn't, simple! anyway there was a quote in it so where do you think it came from??

"final paperwork" means he verbally agreed to join Leigh and we released a statement to that effect, in the meantime harlequins came up with a belting counter offer with full time employment and now hes in two minds what to do!
