It's a dilemma. The reduced SKY share to the successful candidate (or smuggle in) is obviously disadvantageous but, judging by the number of hats in the ring, Championship chairmen seem to be suspecting the door to be slammed for a period thereafter.
Worst case scenario for the promoted club would be to endure a season's worth of drubbings, absorb the financial shortfall, see disillusioned support drain away, be relegated, replaced by a promoted club, and THEN to hear the drawbridge being hauled up.
