After last week’s shenanigans, the summary for this week will be brief and strictly provisional. The rugby results have been double-checked but, should any one of the entrants howl in protest, deeper scholarly rigour will be applied.
First up was Sheffield vs Fev. The two latecomers missed that one and one of the pacesetters, Atomic, made a big call and nominated a Sheffield victory. Not to be. The other six players picked up two points each.
Come Sunday, we were up to strength as C&V-L had deigned to join us. Clean sweep in all the other fixtures, meaning that half a dozen players picked up a Pokemon and thereby 20 shiny points. There were two, however, whose performance was more highly burnished. Zools & WLJ called the correct margin in the Bat-Roc face off.
Would the BBQs mean a risky overtake for someone? Nope! Nada on BBQ1 (thank-you to all of you that voted for Dew-Bar, really cut Bongser’s workload down).
BBQ2. HT Raffle winning ticket number was 223,567. Nearest was Chayder (a mere 2581 under), then Zools (-3320) and cast in bronze was Bongser (+48492). 5pts, 3pts & 1 point respectively.
So Zools edges ahead of Jacobus by the mere gnat’s nudger of silver in BBQ2. 25 points WWB it will be for the former. A useful total of 60 for the week.
