Totally agree - Brierley would be really effective coming off the bench and also would bring us a different dynamic and also if hood is struggling Reynolds could always fill in while he rests |

It's not been said but Mickey looks to be coming to the end of a wonderful career. He's 39 (unbelievable) next month and 1 try in 22 appearances isn't what he would be happy with. Joe Cator is being spoke of as a future Hull hooker so probably a few more options to take the load off Hood.

Liam Hood is Leighs best player IMHO. One of the best hookers in the game. I agree that he needs to be an 80 min hooker but you have to be one fit dude to do that.
A loose forward who can assist acting half could assist with this. Cater is an obvious choice but if he is off to Hull, persevere with Reynolds. I think it can work , especially next year.

Seen Cators link as backup to Houghton at Hull - good job I’m a speccy and not a coach because he looks to me as having the worst passing game of just about anyone in our squad |

Since he went part time, I don't think Liam is fit enough for 80 minutes. Watch him closely - he does a shed load of work, while on the pitch, but is struggling by the time he is subbed. Great player though. |

I agree here. He and MH also do a huge amount of tackling during their stints on the field.
I think it would be a mistake to not have MH in the 17 for our key games. |

I don't really think we have an issue up the middle. The edges have been a problem all season. Not knowing the outcome of current injuries with the 3 quarters is quite concerning. Possibly we may see Brown out there on the edges. |

I agree that the outsides have been a defensive problem for us and with Sau and Higson looking questionable we could have some further concerns, but personally I don’t think we have brought the World Cup final England stand-off from just 20 months ago here to play out on the edges.
Brown needs to play at halfback. Ben Reynolds could possibly play in the centres.

Woods if fit is a shoe in, you need Brierley and McNally so for me Brown plays with a 13 on his back in the halves |
