One has to wonder if it was a unanimous board decision to put all the effort into the SL application, knowing full well the decision by SL to award the 'poison chalice' to the elected team. It did not take much taxing of the grey matter to realise that with the assembled squad, the timing of the 'promotion' and the reduced funding on offer that we would struggle, in fact I predicted that we would not win a game all season and I have not seen anything to suggest that I will be wrong, unless of course like Saints did with London a couple of seasons ago some clubs may use games against us to rotate their squad.
So could the departure of those board members be like the song 'Enough is Enough', I think there may be more going on behind the scenes than we have been informed, never have I seen a club statement penned by Mr Beaumont so short and terse in his appreciation for what people have done for the club, I have the feeling that something just ain't right!
dont think we have a "board" in the normal sense we have an owner
isnt he on record as saying it was duffy and others who persuaded him to put the application together and a very good job was done.
we should have beat the pies who knows what confidence boost that would have given us.
clearly been some problems coach gone, persons refusing to play, cumulative injuries short term stay for an influential player, this has all prompted the usual leigh market tittle tattle as above
the commercial managers job was advertised so this may have prompted the statement short with Mr B down at Wembley i presume
picture was painted of a happy good ship leythers its been an extraordinary year with exceptional circumstances for many has that caused the split or something else is it time for a regroup or a complete restart
