I was only stating that what has happened with the re branding and other changes has got the RL world talking about Leigh Leopards , a lot of negative comments have been made , but I feel more positive comments have been made . I’ve watched Leigh since 1962 and seen a few names ,Comics , Bears , Centurions , and now Leopards , theywilla,ways be Leigh to me , again my comment was just the observation of how Derek has got the RL world talking about our Club .

And to Nathan I will say, the rebrand package (because it is so much more than just a name) has already brought a 6 figure sponsorship of the main shirt and retained the originally planned sponsor who agreed to sponsor all training gear instead, at the same pound point as originally planned. IMG has stated that clubs need to up be financially strong, increase revenue and, increase awareness of the brand and social media presence.

Again my point exactly, I’ve just watched a 30 minute rugby programme on Facebook which was devoted to Leigh Leopards 100%they spoke of nothing else , and it was a Yorkshire based programme , reveiwing all our signings and where we will finish in the League next year , they all spoke well of us and Derek. It seems Leigh Leopards are on the lips of everyone , ok I don’t like the shirt ,I won’t buy it , I will be buying a package though and getting a polo shirt . As for Sponser ship this is why sponsors get involved because of publicity , and sponsors are throwing money at Leigh Leopards , it’s great.

Good evening VL , I hope you are well , fully recovered from Bongsers singing . As you say everyone wants to be involved with Leigh Leopards , last night the BBC mentioned us and Derek, and I’ve just watched a 30 minute rugby programme on Facebook , devoted 100% to Leigh Leopards , and our signings , they spoke of how well we are doing and have done a great PR job , folk like this Nathan guy , talk is just wishful thinking .
Some bloke had a try at re-branding himself, it is cliched in a certain sense but I do like it in a sense that it fits in with the general rugby stylings of most clubs in the modern game.
