Well after the rain cleared up, it was quite pleasant out there in the West Stand.
The Queen was indeed there, dressed in pink.
One slight disappointment is that she didn't say anything. There was a speech by Lord Peter Smith, but the Queen didn't make a speech.
She unveiled the plaque, and then went to have her dinner.
Well I don,t like to swank but I am told she had read many of my posts and mentioned she was seriously disappointed that I wasn,t there. For security reasons I can,t say much more apart from to report she asked if anyone had my mo bile number.
