Rugby League is a sport that desperately needs to expand its geographical supporter base and its player base. This imperative means that all other requirements are secondary until this is done.

All power in the game should be with governing bodies, especially international governing bodies.

Without these actions we will remain a minor sport internationally and nationally.

No rules broken (I think).

If you got chance to see the game it was like men against boys - the Celtic players where massively more physical and skillful. Don't think the Miners can complain.

The lads who came in for Celtic have been recruited to play SL Level from areas of the UK not to play in the amatuer arena.

Just think it was unfair to this to both lads from both sets of teams - don't forget lads on the celtic side had to drop out to accomodate the u21s lads.

Not a good advert. If you saw the final last year it was 2 good amatuer U18 sides playing at a similar level. What you saw today was a team who got beat in the league by an average of 40 points turn up with a side that made a mockery of the final of a great amatuer event.

PLAYER APPEARANCES

1 Nathan Davies 14
2 Alex Webber 6
3 Dalton Grant 17
4 Alex Herbert 18
5 Dan Godwin 7
6 Dafydd Carter 17
7 Steve Williams 17
8 Joe Burke 17
9 Kyle Blackmore 16
10 Anthony Symmonds 17
11 Hywel Lloyd 17
12 Phil Smith 15
13 Mark Wool 4
Subs (all used)
14 Chris Davies 6
15 Nathan Hawkins 6
16 Josh Davidson 7
17 Kristian Hawkes 18

The above is from the Crusaders website showing the players stats for the year and I've put the appearances against the 17 named as playing today. I think it's fair to say that all those noted by BOBA have played the majority of our games barring Mark Wool (No 13).

Whilst not knowing if they are all from Wales Boba, I'm sure the vast majority are and would be interested if you could show otherwise? (have a look at this link to the Crusaders news for last August http://www.crusadersrfl.com/200808.pdf 6th and 8th I believe)

Link below if you'd like to check.

got confused reading this , thats why

Celtic had a full strength team I think. I was told that they did not have an under 21s match so all players were available, with a large scattering of GB starlets !!!!
LMR were missing 2 players though, I think LMR have a big advantage when it comes to mind games if they meet in the final.

Mr Chairman, you're right the U21 didn't have a game because the Crusaders hasn't got an under 21 team, our teams are SL, SL reserves, U18 and an U16 that played their first game this weekend.

And here's alink to our reserves where you'l find that Mark Wool has played one game for them (can't see that any of the others have) http://www.crusadersrfl.com/2009reservesstats.htm

well done to celtic crusaders on winning the grand final. not been to the game as i was playing myself, from what i have been told celtic were the better team and fully deserved there victory, dont think it matters what team celtic put out, the point is miners still had to turn up and win a final in which they failed to do today, just hope they can regroup for next mondays massive national cup final against leigh east. .

A number of fixtures, especially towards the end of the season weren't fulfilled for a number of different reasons which has impacted on the final league standings.
