It's absolutely gutting to see our clubhouse this morning, even worse to see it flames in the early hours of this morning. A lot of hard work by a lot of people destroyed by idiots. Thankfully the changing rooms are not too bad but the rest of the clubs in a bad way. We'll leave the police & fire brigade to do their job & we'll get on with rebuilding our club. We've had some fantastic messages of support from everywhere including from Leigh & Andy on Twitter & it's very much appreciated. We'll be meeting as a committee & coaches to work out a way forwards & I'll try to keep the post updated. Once again thanks for the support everyone.
I'm sure the entire local Rugby League community will come together to help you all through this tough time. Grassroots Rugby League clubs play a massive part in their local communities. Leigh East were wonderful when I used to take my kids to train and play, and I know other clubs are providing the same experience for their members.
If there's any way we as a community can help, then I'm sure we will. Please keep us updated with what is happening, I know a lot of people will be following your clubs plight with a lot of hope for a positive outcome, as I'm confident there will be. Rugby League volunteers are not beaten easily.
