Now I don't usually agree with our Derek,but I can't help but agree with his Phone call to GMR on Sunday about a West Yorkshire conspiracy to intimidate us collectively, and hope to get a reaction from us. wAre the only Lancashire based team in this division, and all the flare-ups have occurred in matches against Bradford, Halifax ,Featherstone and Batley-all within 20 miles of each other. The only way out is to get out of this division and play against teams who want to play rugby. Having said that, the indiscipline of Acton and Hock is tarnishing our good name-please Paul,leave them out for the rest of the season,they are becoming a liability. Talking about GMR, why are they always praised on their Rugby League coverage-they only transmit Sunday coverage only if firstly there is no live local football or secondly Salford, Wigan or Warrington are playing.There used to be updates live at the grounds of all our Championship clubs,now we just get updates. Yet Radio Leeds manages to cover 4 superleague clubs plus all it's championship clubs. In fact I tuned in to Radio Leeds on Sunday to get regular reports of our game at Batlley -why couldn't GMR liaise with their BBC colleagues and do the same?

Well although I have sympathy with your post I don't agree with not playing the two Leigh players you have mentioned again this season.

PR is our coach he is not daft.

My main point is would you trust to play either of these players in a big middle 8 play-off match with the obvious danger of being possibly down to 12 men? I don't think they are amongst our best 8 forwards anyway, so hopefully it wont be a problem.

Seems like a fan of Bradford/Fev/Fax/Batley/Dewsbury/Sheffield to me, trying to convince us Leythers that leaving out your best players will be good for the squad - pull the other one you have been exposed

A conspiracy is highly unlikely, but you do have a point about GMR.

Hock and Acton will be in or around the squad for the rest of the season unless there's an injury to either of them or their disciplinary cards mount up considerably. And the latter of those two scenarios seems more likely actually! lol

Apart from that though, Paul Rowley backs all his players to the hilt, so I'm pretty sure there will be no resting of the above 2 "characters" in the foreseeable future.

Don't think it's quite a conspiracy just clubs that play a big niggley physical game, which works against clubs down the bottom of the league, don't like it when we do it back to them & it all flairs up. 8 of the 12 teams in the league are Yorkshire teams so that's why most of the complaints & trouble seem to be coming from there. Whinging Jimmy Lowes' weak of rubbish excuses after loosing to us seems to have been handy for others to repeat and we've ended up with an undeserved reputation. Do agree though we need to win promotion, get into SL with likeminded teams that want to play rugby and with referees willing/able to keep control of the game.

Acton, Hock (& to some extent Barlow) have a reputation and will always be targeted, they're our big prop enforcers it's their job to stand up for and look after the backs so when it all flairs up they're going to be there. Would be interesting to see how many penalties they actually give away though & compare to everyone else.

Agree on GMR though, used to be brilliant, covered everything across RL. Beggars belief when there's no SL on a Sunday they get their RL reporter to play music from the garage shop discount bin and get people to phone in to talk about the most unusual supermarket plastic bags they've seen instead. I always like to text in and make him apologise for the lack of rugby, highlight was when the phone in was "What's your favourite 3 inventions?" (I know ) I sent in "The Radio, the telephone & the sport of Rugby League, if only there was some way to combine them all to make some sort of rugby league radio phone in program."

Apparantly Rhinos, Giants, Cas and Wakey are all in on the conspiracy. Fortunately you will only be playing one of them next year.
